If you haven't met Russell Sprout yet you are in for a fun surprise! You may find him on stage with all sorts of cool instruments and props, often wearing the strangest things. Maybe you will see him in a music video or in a classroom teaching music. You see, music for Russell Sprout is a lifelong passion. He has been performing in bands and playing solo shows since he was a kid himself. When he is not composing, practicing, or performing, Russell Sprout is teaching music. He has had many private students over the years. Russell Sprout aka Russell Leon is the music teacher at The Jackman Institute of Child Study (OISE) and at Humberside Montesorri school.
Russell Sprout loves music of all sorts. His concerts will have a mashup of many musical styles from folk to rock to beat boxing electronica to... you never know! Some of his songs are funny, some are serious, some are clever and some are silly. "Get up and Move!" That's Sprout's motto.
